How to do Nitainam Lekhan for Harinam Ruchi?

(Bhaktiratna Sadhu Maharaj) #1

Nitainam Lekhan for Harinam Ruchi is done by SLOWLY writing the ten Devanagari strokes of “निताइ” (Nitainam) one by one in the air in LARGE size with your index finger. This writing is done in the sequence shown by the stroke numbers and white arrows in the above image. While airwriting it, don’t visualize your moving index finger, but MINUTELY visualize the SHAPE of each stroke, which REMAINS in the air due to the persistence of vision after your index finger has moved forward and a little away from it after writing it. IN THIS WAY, clearly visualize each stroke one at a time in your mind with closed eyes, or in the air with open eyes.

:rose: You can do it for at least 5-10 minutes by your right index finger before or after Harinam, or with your left index finger during Harinam japa. You can also rest your elbow on any surface while doing it if needed. You may meditate on the transcendental meanings of each stroke as you do it, and optionally merge those meanings with Harinam if you do it with Harinam.

Wow! You even clarified the point of not visualizing the index finger…couldn’t even think of that one. Getting as clear as it can get.

Jaya Nitai. Jaya Srila Nitaipreshthji Gurudev. What a beautiful clear vivid explanation dear Gurudev

(Bhaktiratna Sadhu Maharaj) #4

Yes, many were doing it wrong visualizing their index fingers instead of the persisting shape of each stroke in the air.

(Hem Gauranga das) #5

yes great tip not to visualise index finger but the stroke only…:heart_eyes:

(Bhaktiratna Sadhu Maharaj) #6

Closed eyes or open eyes, the visualization should be on the persisting shape of the stroke in the air after the index finger has moved away from it, not on the index finger or anything else!

This is very detailed and helpful to guide our focus on Nitai’s actual Nam Akshar Form, Thank You unlimitedly

(Nitaisevika dasi) #8

It’s so astonishing how Nitai is revealing how much attention has to be given to the most minute details. Nitai is inspiring You to clear everything so wonderfully dear Nitaipreshthji

Can we do Vayulekhan while listening to Katha?

(Bhaktiratna Sadhu Maharaj) #10

Yes, we can merge its meanings with the sound vibration of the Harikatha also like we can merge it with the sound vibration of Harinam. It actually enhances our concentration and realization of katha, japa, and kirtan, not distract us from them as some may argue.

(Bhaktiratna Sadhu Maharaj) #11

Yesterday I could smell the fragrance of Radhe Shyam while airwriting इ in निताइ. This proves that the syllables are as powerful as the sound of the holy name. Thus, they can reveal rupa, guna, lila, etc., just like the sound of the holy name.
