Srila Bhaktisiddhanta said that Lord Nityananda’s son Srila Virachandra did not have any sons so there is so geneological parampara from him. We all are in the line of Lord Nitai because all our Acharyas got His mercy. Ours is a Shiksha parampara.
It is said in Harinam Chintamani 6th Chapter:
sādhu sampradāye ācārya sakala
śikṣā guru pratiṣṭhita |
ādyācārya yini guru śiromaṇi
pūji tāṅre yathocita ||22||
tāṅra susiddhānta anugata haye
nā māniba anya śikṣā |
tāṅhāra ādeśa pāliba yatane
nā la-iba anya dīkṣā ||23||
sampradāya guru varaṇa karā kartavya
Which means that we should and can accept any and all of our previous Acharyas directly as the pre-eminent Shiksha Gurus of our lives. That is is not an insult to our Diksha Guru, but that is his order. So why can’t be directly accept and surrender to Lord Doyal Nita, Who is combined form of all Vaishnavas in creation? We are not rejecting the principle of whole-heartedly surrendering to a living Diksha Guru. That is mandatory. But at the same time, we can directly approach Lord Nitai through Shiksha. There is no shastric injunction against that.
If we cannot directly surrender to Nitai by the mercy of our Gurudeva and Guru Parampara, then why do we surrender to Guru and Guru Parampara at all? They don’t want to take our surrender for themselves but actually pass it on to Nitai. This verses makes it clear:
sadhu paoya kashta bada jivera janiya
sadhu-bhakta-rupe krishna aila nadiya
(Prema Vivarta by Srila Jagadananda, 7.8)
“Knowing that finding a truly pure guru and sadhu in Kaliyuga is almost next to impossible, Krishna appeared as the true sadhus and gurus n Navadvipa: Nitai Gaura.
Why would Srila Jagadananda Pandita make this categorical statement if we are not allowed to direct surrender to Nitai or Gaura?
